Foursquare - Find Places to Eat, Drink, and Visit App Reviews

I make sure every time I check in my "off grid" is turned to on... But Im still not getting those points, its saying Im "off grid" can this please be fixed?

When I need a place to go, I dont have time to read essay- like reviews like from other review apps/sites sites. Foursquares got things covered in 100+ countries

New update is fast way to see places with both a numeric rating and readable "Tips" for some dimension. Far superior to Yelp and Urbanspoon.

Had terrible time setting up an account. Finally deleted the app. Unfortunately, the did manage to retain my email, so my inbox is getting bombarded by foursquare emails. I click on the "opt out" link, but I am forced to log in in order to opt out of emails. Since I never completed the account setup, I cannot log in. FIX THIS ISSUE YOU SPAMMERS.

Good app But the best part of the app was that you could see how many people were checked into each place, and which places were trending. Swarm doesnt show you that either. this was good to see the popular bars and restaurants. Or even to find a street fair that I didnt know about. Please bring this feature back?

Just the worst! Trying to add a place is ridiculous! The app keeps saying "Got it, thanks!" to my added info and changes; but it doesnt have @&$! App cant even keep the address I entered...TWICE! I liked the original foursquare, but they have jacked it up as so often happens.

The app is fine but I hate that whenever I try to check in somewhere it re-directs me to Swarm and then I check in. It seems silly and a waste of time and a major reason that I dont use the app more often.

Peter Piper Pizza is NOT a local business. Also I have a hard time figuring out what the ratings are based off of. I try to use it to find restaurants I know little about but it seems like I only get well known ones.

Ever since they created swarm and forced you to use that app to "check in" this app has become a worse version of Yelp. Why do I need 2 apps to do what 1 app used to do so well?

I loved foursquare back in the day, but not since they changed it and forced the social aspect to Swarm. I moved over to swarm but it is not as good as the old foursquare. Shame. It used to be fun as well as useful now that the fun is gone I dropped it like a hot potato. It is just another yelp in disguise ( and thats a bad thing ).

Like I said this app is good but there should be an option for locals and frequent visitors to put their ratings (out of 10) for these places! Then the app will be worth 5 stars!

Great to find places in your own neighborhood or when youre traveling! And theyre aggregated based on what you like, not who gives them money like Yelp

Homepage redesign feels lightweight, snappy and way less bloated. Good update Foursquare glad to see it.

By far the best app for restaurants and coffee shops

I love the new icon and the new simpler opening page. Please take it to the whole app, even swarm!

I just dont think the rest of the app really reflects the new colors of the app icon and home screen. Minor complaint, still a great app!

Hi Foursquare team, Im again shocked by the drastic change you guys brought to the app. I really enjoyed the front page recommendations and now its all gone. Was it not performing well? Now Im stuck with all those stupid categories. What a waste of the precious homepage. I already know what Im looking for if Im searching. If you havent dumped Yelp yet, now is the time. So much better and trusted.
