App hopping is not fun

I have to explore places and checkin on 2 separate apps, thats just a waste of time.

Great App

App is good for multiple platforms. I hate how it integrated with its sister app Swarm but all in all it works and its simple to use.

Great Idea Mostly Accurate

I have to give this app two stars. Its a great idea, but a lot of items are incorrect (closed locations) and most recent comments are dated back to 2010. The out of date information shows that not too many people are impressed with the app.

NEVER NEVER NEVER GO HERE!

If I could find something less then one star this location has earned it. Forget the fact that the food is far below average. Basic way over priced and far below avg. And forget for the moment that the service is below average as well. They are Completely rude and incompetent in any measurement that I have ever seen. The management is the most unsuitable and unfit to deal with customers I found them VERY incompetent. They are rude AND many other things and I wont waste any time writing because they are not worth it. Specifically the gentleman by the name of Alan. Who is for the time being a manager, but Im sure that will be short-lived. I am convinced that the employee took my credit card and an hour later supposedly it was missing. He did not follow any type of protocol. He left my credit card laying supposedly. Although I firmly believe he stole it. Or the manager himself. Quite likely Alan based upon his rude behavior and unwilliness to take any responsibility. This company has done nothing to resolve my issues. The credit card was used. So now we are contacting AMEX. I will never eat there again. I advise anyone to find some place that cares about their customers and hes even halfway competent. This is my WORST experience ever! Period!!! Absolutely Awful employees and company in my view!

Love!

I am in love with this app! However, its a bit hard to navigate at times & freezes up for me for a bit before I can leave a tip. Overall, great app though!

Good Move

It was a gutsy move for Foursquare to split into two apps, but Im seeing the payoff in now having two very lightweight apps for different purposes. Foursquare is the place review and discovery guide. Swarm is for check-ins and the game aspects of the old Foursquare. I particularly think the new Foursquare app benefits from the removal of the game features. It outdoes Yelp in appearance and is much easier to navigate. Keep up the good work!

What an App !!

UI is a mess. Lack of hierarchy and too much emphasis on unimportant things.

Helpful

It is one of important apps i have to use it when i travel to new country.

Way better then Yelp

"if you have hate in your heart, let it out .... On Yelp"

Good vision and keep it up

Live the app since 2010, hope you guys could keep up the good work!

Use to love foursquare

Since the last post, things are better. This app helps me remember where Ive been and helps me find new places.

Good idea but falls way short

Read the description and thought this would be one of the few good apps for the Apple Watch. However it failed to live up to it. Makes you get an ID, ok but then watch tells me I must be logged on. I check and I am. Here the circle continued. So never worked on watch. Having a id and having to be logged in to work tells me its garbage and they will sell my email. Look elsewhere.

One of the best apps to download

Foursquare is a must right up there with Twitter and Facebook and Vine highly recommended !!!

My go-to for recommendations

I use this app all the time to keep track of places Ive been, find new places, and save wish lists of what I want to try in the future. I still get a little confused navigating between foursquare and swarm, but I dont hate that part as much as I used to, and I do think it makes for a cleaner design of foursquare itself. Its on such a higher level than Yelp in terms of usefulness and ease of use, too. Its especially awesome when Im traveling to find places near where Im staying or that are trending.

Overall a Good App

The user interface is easy to navigate but it still seems to black out/ shut down when it switches between apps.

Better than Yelp

I used to be a heavy Yelp user but now I just use Foursquare. I feel that the tips, photos, and reviews are higher quality than similar apps. The integration with Swarm is helpful to keep track of the places I have been and if I would want to go back. Highly recommend!

Holy History! The Bloat continues

Starting to feel the bloat. App was much better when it was trimmed down, and there wasnt so much bloat. Now the app is just not enjoyable anymore

Loving it

Been using Foursquare since it was dodgeball back in the day. Its always been and still is today one of my favorite (and most useful) apps.

Contextual recs just keep getting better

Ive been using foursquare consistently since 2009, and I was among the first 40,000 users. Foursquare and swarm are now more fun and engaging than theyve ever been. Its great to see that some of my favorite features (points, leaderboard, and stickers) have returned and that they are now more compelling than ever. Im anxious to see where this journey taut Foursquare is embarking upon leads the company. With all the data that they are now gathering with "Pilgrim", passive recs should improve greatly in the coming weeks and months. Foursquare is now better than it’s ever been. I’m going to remain a loyal user of an app that has brought so much fun, joy, and adventure into my life over the years.
